Meet Carolyn kedslie

Carolyn is a young professional, nonprofit leader, and community advocate dedicated to turning messy ideas into meaningful impact.

As the Event Manager at City House, Carolyn leads the planning and execution of fundraising and community engagement events that support youth experiencing abuse, neglect, homelessness, and crisis. Leveraging her PMP certification, she oversees all aspects of event fundraising, including sponsorships, donor stewardship, marketing, logistics, and volunteer coordination, helping connect big hearts with big needs.

At another organization close to her heart, To Be Like Me, Carolyn serves as a LEADer, sharing her experiences with AuDHD and mental health with students ages 10 and older. In addition to sharing her own story, she helps share To Be Like Me's mission by managing the organization's social media presence. Through both storytelling and digital engagement, she works to advance awareness and foster a more inclusive community.

Beyond her professional roles, Carolyn is actively involved in numerous community organizations. On the Young Professionals of Plano Committee within the Plano Chamber of Commerce, she serves as Treasurer on the Executive Committee and contributes to the organization's Marketing Committee. She is also a member of the Events Committee for the North Texas Disability Chamber. Additionally, she is a group leader within North Texas Women For Good, a giving circle that empowers women to collectively support local nonprofits.

Carolyn also volunteers with the Justice Ministry at Arapaho United Methodist Church as Co-Chair of the Elections Committee, supporting initiatives that strengthen civic engagement and community involvement.

Carolyn's primary goal is to help create a more accommodating and inclusive community where all people feel welcome and have the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
